Question: One part of the pack says the second list is 50, the other 55.
Which points is the second list?
Oops, my bad, the second list is 55:)
Never tell me the odds: Han Solo;)

Gangster! Bobata and Wu Zang, here I come!
Question on the Bakemono limit - what if I start off with an odd number of Bakemono? Would I round up or down?
Also, is the summoning limit on Bakemono or on models that contribute to the Horde? Wu Zang isn't a normal Bakemono, but could contribute to the Horde.
I'm feeling generous due to copius painkillers so you cn round up, but the limit of bakemono on the table counts all models with the bakemono rule, wether they are 'summonable' or not.
Never tell me the odds: Han Solo;)

here's a look at the first batch of counters for anyone attending:) we have 6 spaces left as of thursday according to Sam!

Bought the ticket today! Any up for a practice game?
I will be there at Firestorm Thursday and have nothing lined up at the mo. I imagine some Prefecture may be there from one of the other guys - not sure if you have played them yet? Mick - are you going to be there this week?
Cheers,
Sam

The only faction I have yet to play is Cult!
finished painting my Prefecture, i will bring them along Thursday. if there are lots playing L5R i will have a game of Bushido if someone is up for it?
only got the dragon to go, might have him painted by thursday aswell.
DEATH WILL BRING YOU PEACE !!!!
I will bring Cult and a freshly painted Riku with Temple! I might even have Gok assembled for Thursday - he's a beast!!
http://rudders-modellife.blogspot.com
Hmmm about Riku ... rather not ha
Are games 2and 3 50 rice or 55?
55, originally 50 but we upped it after a few test games and i forgot to amend parts of the pack:(
Never tell me the odds: Han Solo;)

of course, we're hoping to run at least two events a year depending on take up, one a tournament, the other a narrative campaign weekend (when we have a narrative to work from that is:)) so it shouldn't be a huge wait till the next event

Just thought I'd share my wife's pain with you all- this is my dining room at current-
Firestorm has some excellent terrain but we wanted at least a couple of oriental themed pieces on every board, this is about half of what me and JC knocked up saturday afternoon, but as I'm away next week I only have this week to finish them... also on the left are some more resin counters drying, on the right are the trophies (hopefully) glueing together, and all around is the detritus of a week spent not tidying up...
incidentally how much would I have to donate to get 'giant mutant bamboo' added into the jwar isles description somewhere as a perk?
Never tell me the odds: Han Solo;)

Great stuff!
My brother found that pet shops have some quite good scaled down buddha statues that are intended for acquariums which are perfect for the game. He's making latex moulds of them and making tonnes of buddha statues, some of which he modified to look quite menacing, like statues of the bad guy from the old Manga series 3x3 eyes.
Quit your moanin' Ronin.
Man I wish I could attend this event.
If the next one isn't in September I'll definitely be up for it!
Ben
here are the trophies-
and here is one of the finished boards, all thanks to Rudders for turning up last night and static grassing the entire Jwar isles, and the inside of both our lungs:)
we still have a few places left I think if anyone else is interested in coming down:)
Never tell me the odds: Han Solo;)

Nice trophies!
Wish I could be there, but it's the wrong country for me.
I follow the rules of bushido. I am a bushi.
The terrain looks really good and really good effort on the trophies.
Trying to confirm I am free all day Saturday but once I can will be buying a ticket asap. Just have to decide which faction to bring...

Hi, it would be great to see you on the day, faction wise the prize for highest Ro-Kan and Prefecture should be highly contested with several of each booked, but I think we may only have one or two each of the Cult and Wave, so maybe better chance of wandering off with a free wave 6 goody?
Never tell me the odds: Han Solo;)

Ticket booked!
I will be bringing my Prefecture.

I am quite content to be the sole Wave player if it means a free Trapper.
I think you are indeed the only Wave player!
Should be a good day - if anyone is interested in seeing the games or finding out more/meeting the GCT guys feel free to pop down in the day!

I think he is the second Wave player
"To a real warrior, power perceived may be power achieved."
While I can't make it, it would be interesting to know the sort of faction breakdown you guys see on the day.
Same here. Unfortunately working all weekend, otherwise would be there. Would like to know how many of each faction and the make ups of each force if possible.
I was fantastic! And it was a bloody good laugh!

Before the invention of the internet, the idiot stayed in his own village
Okay the first Game is in motion- the listing is more updates as games progress:) of particular note is table 1, where the two wave players already have Oni on Oni action (master T decided not to bring Bakemono for an all Oni force selection)

Just wanted to say it was great fun to come and watch the tournament being played yesterday, and it was very ably run. Also great to meet you all and hopefully I can convince a few mates to trek along to the next one.

Big thanks to Greeny and Rudders for putting this event together, will be looking forward to the next Bushido tournament.
The new wave 6 models did not disappoint, Tenshi is definately a new favourite of mine.
Did anyone take a picture of the cake? It was pretty cool.
*Goes back to painting cave*

doh! was so tired yesterday I forgot the full prize rundown!- as well as the best in faction and 1st/2nd/3rd place shown above,
Orochi (aka Adam) won 'Best Painted Warband' for his stunning prefecture (with added goldfish power),
Rudders shared 'Most Honourable Opponent' with Odin himself, who proved how honourable he was by allowing Rudders to take the trophy home,
Lapiaz (Carlos) proved eqally magnanimous by splitting his prize gift vouchers amongst the other players.
thanks for the comments, If anyone wants to write a review from a players point of view in the battle reports section that would be great:) (and I believe Rudders has photos of cake and suchlike, and my Wife appreciates the compliment:))

Have to say, yesterday's tournament was the first tournie I've played in over 10 years, and the most fun tournie I've played in.
It was very well run and the GCT guys coming down and joining in was great to see. I played Gorden, Odin and Master T, all of whom were some of the grooviest oponnents I've ever had the pleasure of playing.
So from me... A big thanks to Mik and Rudders and a huge thanks to the GCT boys, even if Carlos did pip me to the top spot! ;-)
Thanks guys!
JC
[The master} acts, but relies on nothing
It was a great day very good organized and fantastic to see other players enjoying the game and the miniatures as much as we do at GCT. There were a few really good painted armies that I want to see more pictures on this forum... also the tables looked great... Thanks and I will be there next year to defend my SHOGANATE.....
