Hi,
Yumi and Kenko (both members of the temple) can boost there movement with ki. How does it work with Run (M_ovement *1,5) and Charge (M*2)
E.G.
Their basic movement is 4''. If I boost it by 2 (usually 4 Ki) is their run speed 8 or 9''?
(4+2) * 1,5 = 9
oder
(4*1,5) + 2 = 8
Thank you
gaijin

I have a related question - when can you do it?
Can you spend ki to increse movement when you realise you need another inch ot reach your target, or can you only do it before starting to move?
I follow the rules of bushido. I am a bushi.
All Ki Boosts to Statistics affect the Statistic for the next action only and only by 1.
So at model has a CP 4 and CP Ki Boost cost of 2, it can spend 2 Ki and for the next Melee its CP will be 5. it could spend 4 and its CP would 6 etc, etc.
You can only affect the action before you start to resolve it so you cannot declare a Walk or Melee, measure the distance, realise your short and then spend the ki to increase the Move Statistic. You need to Boost before any measuring.

Good. And if you increase the Move statistic of course your Run and Charge also increases.

Correct

Thank you for your answers and additional questions.
Sorry, if I ask again... I am a foreigner.
Is my example correct?
Movement 4 + 1 (by Ki) = 5 * 2 (for charge) = 10
And another question... Can I charge an Object like the Idols in the 1st scenario.
I think not, because it is not an enemy, but maybe.
Thank you.

You're example is correct.
You'd get farther running twice rather than charging once in a turn.
Run being simple and Charge being complex.
ok, you are right, but sometimes you want to get there first.
And what if you the target farther away than your run value and within your charge...
E.G.
If I am first in BtB with the Idols in the 1st scenario. I (may) force my enemy to charge me instead of the idol based on my zoc ...
This is the reason, why I am asking. Can I charge an object.
Thank you anyway

As charge is written it seems quite clear that you need to charge a model you are about to attack.
From a game balance perspective I can't see why not. You run twice as long at once, in a straight line, as a complex action. It leaves you exhausted in, presumably, the middle of nowhere, and you only get 2xM as opposed to 3xM if you had run twice.

Yes you can Charge what every you want.

But if you can boost a stat several times, and considering that an oni model increases its ki pool instead to decreases it to do it, you could boost its cp infinitely...
ONI still have a max ki.

Ah, ok, thanks.
