Hi- some questions that arose in our game last night, and how we played them-
1) Rise again lasts until the end phase- does this mean a Kairai that has flame counters on it cannot rise again if they kill it?
(we played- rise again still works, but any flame counters still on the model remain in play)
2) Nezumi has combined attack (Rat swarm), does this include large rat swarm?
(we played yes)
3) If ekusa casts Aura of Serenity, can the puppet still possess people as it isnot a melee attack
(we played no, but there was some discussion over whether it shouldnt matter if the mannequin is within the aura, as long as Kato isn't)
4) Where has brutal blow gone from the living QSR?
5) if a model chooses not to put any dice in attack vs a flaming Hotaru, but Hotaru puts no dice in defense, does she count as successfully defending, and therefore trigger more flame?
(we played yes, it's their own fault for not trying hard enough)
6) is there a maximum amount of flame onemodel can have?
(we played no, seriously though- gengo had 11 at one point)
thanks
Mick

Afaik eaten by editor gremlins.
No dice vs no dice should be nothing. Just per math, it would be a hit, but i cant imagine that "No attack dice vs no defense dice" hits with a success level of zero. No attack dice means you dont attack, and no def dice means you dont try to defend yourself.
Not sure there is a explanation in the QSR about "successful defending", but if you take it as opposite to attacking, you will need higher dices. Or a tie breaker.
1) Rise again lasts until the reslove of effects part of the End Phase, which is after the wounds part of the end phase. The flame counters wound remain so it'll still burn the next turn.
2) Yes
3) Yes, as its not a Melee, Charge, Run or Ranged attack action (originating from inside the Aura)
4) Bloody gremlins, its back now.
5) If you put no dice in defence you cannot opposed a dice and therefore it doesnt trigger. If you put dice in defence and they put no attack in attack you do trigger as you successfully defended.
6) Nope
cheers, so how did you find Hotaru and the Rat Sawrm (Maybe post in the ToRK section though) ?
"To a real warrior, power perceived may be power achieved."
Found it btw, its melted with the bravery rule in the LQS.
Because it belongs to the rat swarm, whats the STEADY trait? There is steadfast and unsteady, but not this one.
