Hi guys and gals,
Just a (hopefully) quick question. Playing a game where I was down to 1CP die which went into defence when Hiro (sp?) used an ability to ignore my highest defence roll. Is it right that I am then down to technically 0 dice? We played that it did but just wanted to check.
Cheers
T

That is correct, the Unblockable Strike ignroes the highest dice ROLLED. so if you only rolled 1 dice it is ignored and you score is 0.

Great thanks for the quick reply

On this talk of 1s (and I can't believe I'm only asking this now!), when you roll opposed combat dice, 1s are discarded as auto fails - does this reduce the dice pool in terms of working out a tie too?
eg I roll 3 attack (5, 2, 1) and 1 defend (1) and they roll 3 defend dice (5, 4, 2) .
We draw on the 5s so we go to number of dice - do I count 4 dice as I rolled 4 (and so win the attack at success level 0), or just 2 as the two 1s are fails and so discarded (and therefore I lose the combat)
Number of dice you rolled not the results.

ah right - so we had been playing it correctly all along (apart from this week)... that said, we did actually quite like the discarding of 1s tho - it gives some more unusual dice - typically people like Hiro thrash everyone if only on no of dice rolled.... once you start removing 1s its suddenly not quite so clearcut - makes for a nice dynamic - give it a go - see what you think.
Hiro attacking is one of the most scary thing to see
Ten Uchi is so awesome...
Sorry my poor english >_< Bushido FTW !!
hmm, the rules state that in combat you always roll atleast 1 dice even if your CP drops to 0 or below, its just that your enemy gets to roll extra dice to offset your negative dice pool penalties. As in the case of Unblockable strike vs 1 defense dice, one dice is still rolled just that it's result is ignored.
Sorry just typing out loud to get this clear in my head :P
