So is he going to have 3 macaques with him in game? The short story A thief in the night would suggest so.
Any ideas as to what they might bring to the game?
Sounds as though Koji is going to be quite a stubborn character and that the macaques might be a diversionary tool for when Koji is in combat, or possibly walking wounds for him as they seem quite protective of him?
Will interesting to see how it turns out. I really liked the short story
I hear that The Temple is opening up an animal sactuary now :)
We meet at the Medway Wargames Society: http://sites.google.com/site/medwaywargamessociety/location
The short story was very cool. It does seem that the temple are getting lots of critters to join them!
Massive fingers crossed for a tiger!!!!!

I want/need/hope a Ki-Rin for the Temple !!!!!!
Maybe they have self-sacrifice trait?
he is not climbing but balancing on his Bo. imagine that he use this style of fighting

he is in his own base
Got Koji today and it seems that his bo needs to be replaced by something more durable as it is definitely a weak point. Otherwise: Great model.
I wonder if the monkeys or even him shouldn't get the small characteristic?! I love the tireless trait, but the monkeys go down so fast, that they hardly ever use it. It would be realy nice if they could be picked a bit harder by ranged attacks..
Anyway fantastic work. Anyone any more experience with the four and willing to share?
Cheers,
Drifter
Who on earth shoots at 1 point monkeys? :P
Bakemono and Ninja like shooting on monkeys :)
"Ah, dessert! Chilled monkey brains. "
Hi monk brothers.
how much rice cost Koji? he is cheap? or another expensive model?
I gess 7-9 rice...
He is cheap for a monk
But alone hes not very useful. And with monkeys the guess is correct...
This might sound like a really odd question but given that each of the Macaques has its own Wound track and all the Macaque miniatures are different...
Does anyone know which miniature is supposed to represent which Macaque?
I put a little indicater on the bottom of each monkeys base at the back to help me along

Strangely, he's not a monk... He dresses like a monk, has hair of a monk, jumps up like a monk, but isn't one. I know it's not a massive one, as the only real benefit he'd get is the -1 Ki on feats, but seeing as Aiko is a monk, and has no use whatsoever for that trait... Seems a bit harsh.
Ah well, so how have people found him play in game? He seems like he'd be good at tying up irritating people for a turn or two with his defensive trigger and coordinated attack / order monkeys, but other wise cant figure him out.
So the next question is:
Should he have the Monk rule?
Yes he should be a Monk

Oh, you guys haven't had a lot of luck with this guy. Missing 'Monk' and 'Small'.
I've used him as support to the Macaques. They managed to take out a spellcaster, ninja and healer in the same game (okay so I got reasonably lucky with the ninja).
The big problem with them is the combination of -1 Strength and my ability to roll 1 on the wound table with alarming consistency.
Ah cool... So is that an official errata then? Koji's has the Small and Monk traits?
Yes
