At the moment I’m painting Yumi and Fox. And sculpting bases for Araka and Wu-Zang. I have a couple of monstrous bats in my bits box which originally came with Avatars of War Vampire countess. I think they’ll look great on Wu-Zang’s base.

Now tell me what’s on your table? Female fire monk perhaps. Is she coming out next wave?

Really disappointed female fire monk isn’t coming out yet. Surprised shogenja was for Prefecture. I thought it was going to be something for Ro-Kan. So what about my primary faction?

That base for Wu is superb. Where did the extra bats come from? (started to paint him myself-as a sub par painter he is so annoying to paint , so small I have no chance of giving him a decent paint job)

They asked me the same thing in my LGS few days ago. But I’m afraid I don’t know anything about casting resin.

Just finished Yumi. I went for restaurant fight theme for the base. The smashed Japanese plate on the floor is in Imari style. The blue & white vase is in Seto style. Just so you know.

Wow! You have a very good and unique style of painting. I think it is a really good sign of quality when you could look at a model and know who has painted it and you are one of the few miniature painters who I think I could say that about. the face is very well done and I thoroughly agree with Deathjesters comments on the vase.

Dude your style is great. I love all the understated natural colours, really creates an atmosphere. Kitsune's my favourite, she looks less cute and more scary! Also her base is amazing. Well done!

Here’s more pictures from my workbench. I wanted to do a base for Riku as well when I’m still in base making mode, but Leisure games haven’t received delivery from Wayland Games yet. Hopefully I’ll get my hands on wave 4 early next week.

Here’s Riku’s base. Thought I’d raise him a bit higher than that water thing. And sculpt some waves to tie the whole thing to the base a bit more.

I’m going to take a brake from Temple of Ro-kan to paint Araka soon, but the orphan is a long way away. I will try to finish the rest of my Ro-kan before moving to Cult of Yurai. The second mini from that faction is going to be Ikiryo. I will post pictures of it’s base soon. For orphan and spirit, I’m planning something with lanterns.

It looks like my photography is getting worse and worse lately. I finished Kenko and tried taking pictures of him. But the colours keep coming out wrong. I tried fixing them on photoshop but without satisfactory results. Anyway until I figure it out, here’s what’s on my table right now.

Here’s the base for Ikiryo. This is going to be a water effects base. She’s standing on a cliff next to a pond with a drowned woman in it. One’s painted I will fill the carved out base with Vallejo water effects.

Also notice I removed stitches from Ikiryo’s moth.

really nice, have you thought of buyinf are making a light box and buying some lights? You can get them for around £30 and you might get better photos that display the minis better. Much nicer and more colourful in reality.

£30 that’s a bottle of good cognac.

On serious note. I think my photos are okay. There is obviously a room for improvement, but that’s mainly due to not having a good camera. And that’s going to cost a lot more than £30. My latest dark grey background pictures got colours very, very close to the originals. I might re photograph my Bushido range at some point.

Hey,

Not saying they are bad photos but having seen them in real life the colours are much better and thought that better lighting for your photographs might show that.
