Just played a quick game and i came across 1 or 2 things that struck me as odd.
1) One of the ranged attack modifiers for the attacker states "-1 if the model has or will move". Does that mean, when i activate the model i have to declare both actions.
I.e. "I'm going to shoot, then run" or "I will strike you twice in combat."
I can see without having to declare both your actions, models with ranged attacks can simply shoot and then wait for the result to see whether they should move or not. (Same goes for models that want to strike twice in combat.)
Plus if i did run then shoot, would that mean i would get a -2 modifier to my RCP? (Becaue i ran, then the hasmoved/will move modifier)
2) One of the modifiers for the defender when being shot at is "-1 if the model ran"
Surely it should harder for the attacker to hit a running target?
1) Yes, you have to declare if you wish to move after the Ranged Attack action. The "has or will move" applies to if the model moved,or will move during the Ranged Attack Action.
If you use a Run action you willl be at -1 for using the run action. If the second action that model performs is a Ranged attack you can either not move ( just -1 for having Run that turn) or move as part of the Ranged Attack action and be at -2.
2) Yes the model gets -1 to its Ranged Defence pool if it performed a Run action that turn. It is assumed that it is harder to dodge or be alert to being shot at if you are running full tilt.

Yep,
Just to recap for the first question:
-my activation
- i declare the model i'm activating and what the 2 actions are going to be for that turn, reguardless of the results.
I.e. Jin will strike you twice in combat (even if the first attack may kill the opponent outright, it is assumed the second action is wasted because there's no one else to attack.)
Apart from that, thanks a bunch and keep up the good work!
This game has potential!

No you don't declare the second action. A model can only make one action before play passes to the other player. The -1 is if you intend moving and shoot as part of the same action.
And yes, it doesn't gell with me that you make it easier for you model to be hit by shooting if you run it.

Nope, you dont need to declare both actions, only if you are going to use the Move part of the Ranged Attack action.

oh okay, i didn't read that part! (i assumed it was just a ranged attack, and the movement was the second action, not part of the action at all!
I.e. 1st Action: Ranged attack
2nd Action: Run or walk
Sorry, now that is crystal clear.
But now i'm confused with what hithero said; one the one hand it says "models can make 2 (simple) actions in a game turn" whereas, from what i understand, hithero says that "when i activate a model i do 1 action, and then play is passed to the other player" so do i have to do one action with all my models before i can make a second action?
I.e. 1st Action: Aim
Couple of models later
2nd Action: shoot
or do i go;
1st: aim
2nd shoot, before i pass play to my opponent?

I believe it is the first one - you would aim for a simple action, play passes to opponent, then you would shoot when play comes back to you (or perform another action witgh a different model and wait to shoot).

Its the first one. Where it appears you are getting confused is that the action is Ranged Attack, which allows a move (if you choose to use it). You are NOT doing two simple actions you are doing one.
1.So you are the Active player and declare an action either Simple or Complex with a model.
2. Resolve the action of that model.
3. You then pass proirity to the opponent.
4. repeat steps 1,2 and 3.
Clear?
So when you are the Active player again you pick a model and declare a simple or complex action if they are able (ie not exhausted for either, or tired for complex).
This continues until each player has all their models exhausted. At which point the turn ends.

Okay, i think i've got it now.
I was thinking this whole time; when the model is activated it has 2 actions per activation, in other words, the second example.
So i can aim on my turn, my opponent takes his turn and then i can shoot with the model i just aimed with previously, providing it isn't exhausted.
Sorry i've been so slow with picking this up and thnaks for putting up with me!

Glad you got there :) feel free to ask if you need something clarifying.
