Hi I'm a noob and a couple of questions came up in a recent game...
When a Marionette is sacrificed to attempt to gain control of en enemy model, what is its Ki value for the opposed test?
Can you hire multiples of the same model? So for example could a player hire multiple Kairai Villagers? I assume not, simply because I can't find any rules that would stop player hiring multiple 'named' characters.
All help much appreciated.

Marionettes Ki Value is equal to the Ki it has remaining, (so the more you put on it when you cast it, the more dice you roll)
and no multiples unfortunately, (or the ashigaru kairai would have a lot of friendsin my band!) though you can raise multiple Kairai risen.
